Technosaurus' Public License, or TPL |
|
I have put out a lot of code here, some of which omitted licenses and I wanted to make it clear that all of my previously published original code (not modifications of others' code where their original copyright would take precedence) is Public Domain and for those locales that do not recognize disclaimer of copyright, I give permission to redistribute under any License recognized by the open source initiative here:
http://www.opensource.org/licenses/alphabetical
or any license meeting the open source definition here:
http://www.opensource.org/docs/osd
If anyone has some of my code that they wish to modify/redistribute/<show as an example of bad coding practice>/etc... feel free to contact me to make it official or copy this post currently dated 29 March 2012.
If anyone else would like to clarify their copyrights/licenses feel free to use this thread, but just please don't try to convert me to GPL3 or some other zealot license that places unnecessary restrictions on developers.

TPL++
Very nice that you are coming out of the closet with this -it must be a great relief. Is your family taking it okay?
If I decide to release something under your license, is this: <show as an example of bad coding practice> a requirement?
GPL3--

Lol, no, of course not. I was just trying to make the point that I don't care how it is used or if I receive any attribution.

On behalf of all the users who benefit from your code - a big thank you!
I hope one day to be able to understand some of it and actually learn how to use it.

Thanks Tech, and I've made a copy of your thread post, plus copied the direct URL to that post, and have saved it along with my Puppy files ( which are backed up to DVD approx every 2 to 3 months ). This way if I encounter your coding I can add it to the top. You know? - slightly rewritten it would be a good and simple "cover-all" license for anyone doing works here. Sounds much nicer than saying, "This work is GPL2/CopyLefted..." yada, yada. "TPL Licensed" has a nice ring to it if I may say so myself! Unique.
Well... on the other hand what do I know? "Cacun a son gout!" as we say. ( "To each his own!" )
Cheers/Amicalement,
