Welcome to the kennels
When through some mysterious process
you installed Puppy Linux to a USB key drive
the option to save your settings was offered.
Was the save file on your USB drive?
Was it on your hard drive?
We don't really know what you have done

Program apps are added to your save file

Automatically adding an encrypted password too?
Maybe.
Mostly Puppy will connect to the last LAN it was set up for.
Clicking the 'connect' icon (if available) will give you new networks.
