Orinoco wifi not detected in Lupu Plus Subject description: Switched from Lucid Puppy 5.2.8.004 to Lupu Plus (5.2.8.005?)
I just updated an old emachine from Lucid 5.2.8.004 to Lucid 5.2.8.005 and a Frugal install of Lupu Plus...both work with amazing speed. I have had trouble printing with Cups to a HP network printer under 5.2.8.005 which works perfectly with Lupu Plus though...so I tried an install of Lupu Plus on an old Dell laptop....runs Lucid 5.2.8.004 flawlessly currently (full install) and suddenly the Orinoco PCMCIA wifi card will not detect...tried loading the drivers that work under 5.2.8.004 and received an error ..so far everything I have tried fails.....sees the wired LAN interface fine...I have 6 machines running different versions of Puppy...all old machines now with new life...all Samba-ing , Web Serving ,streaming happily along...any ideas how to get Lupu Plus to connect via Orinoco PCMIA card?
I have a netgear pcmcia card (MA401) that has an orronoco chipset. I have never been able to get it to work right with the lucid kernel. Works ok on 4.31 and earlier versions though.
I have found no way either here or the Ubuntu site to solve it.

I have also have not been able to find a solution although the card works on this system with Ubuntu 10.4 LTS.....strange though that Three Headed Dog and Lucid Puppy works fine through 5.2.8.004....I am continuing to look for a fix...
