Educational or Children Stuff

#1 Post by reckrhodes »

Please help me. If anybody can give me links or tutorial on how to produce (sfs or pets) or compile the latest of the following educational stuff for children, I would be very happy as well as our pre-shoolers and graders in our school.

Stuff such as:

1. Gcompris Suite
2. Childsplay
3. Supertux (games)
4. Turtle(Programming)
5. and other educational stuff

By the way, I am using Lupu 528. I would like to say thank you also to playdayz and all the developers and testers who contributed in one way or another on this wonderful OS - Puppy Linux.

Thank you in advance.

Edit: Sorry for making this topic redundant, I just found some of the stuff on this very same main topic(Educational). Thank you speedyluck.

hi reckrhodes

gcompris is here..http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=77215

supertux is available from the lupu package manager (PPM) but you'll need to enable the ubuntu repos

start the PPM
press the configure button and tick the the three ubuntus and the lucid puppy. and press 'OK' (don't presss update!!)
then exit the PPM entirely.
when you restart the PPM. type supertux into the find box. and install supertux_0.3.3-2, be sure to press the examine dependencies button.

you may also be intrested in these.. also available from the PPM..
