I though I'd mention this wonderful little device, the CuBox, I think I would prefer one of these over a raspberry pi.

I would prefer a Lemote Fuloong, much nicer, 4 USB ports, real hard drive, not to mention processor class, but then were getting in a different size and price category:

but then the one you posted is also in a different price category from the Raspberry Pi.

What is very interesting about the cubox is | Quote: | | 2GByte microSD with Ubuntu pre-installed |
This will allow you to use mainstream Linux on it immediately.
Also, note that it comes with the Vivante GPU, the same GPU in the wildly popular Ainol Novo Paladin US$79 tablet.

I'm in the market for a new home media center and this seems to tick all the right box's, the price US$135 is reasonable,
it has a choice of OS's at boot, InfraRed for remote control, eSATA and will take up to a 64gig MicroSD card, just add a usb wireless keyboard and mouse,
webcam and headset you have a all in one home entertainment and social networking system.
