xfe-1.32.5 - File Explorer

I made a pet of xfe file explorer.
It can be configured as a single or two pane file manager with
different font styles and sizes, themes, file assosiations, etc.
The pets were made in Lupuplus 005 and work in Racy and Saluki as well.
It is available on this page:

Xfe is my favorite file explorer by a long way. :D

It is SUPERB! 8)

I use it in all 7 of my Puppies.
i.e.
Dpup-Squeeze-5.x.9-SCSI
Slacko-5.3.3-4g-SCSI
Lupu-528.005
Puppy-431-BoxPup
Wary-5.3
Luci-001.005 = 3-Headed-Dog
StartLPx2-001-LaxYPuppy2

Here in Lupu-528.005, I'm using xfe-1.32.2-Lucid52.
This [as is typical with Xfe] has a small problem as follows:
When I right-click a file, and choose "Open with..."
There is normally no programs on offer.
I'm forced to apply a workaround for this.
See post #388 in my Puppy thread.

There should be.. Have you configured Slacko's pacman?

1. I have the following installed and functioning in my Slacko-5.3.3-4g-scsi:
xfe_staticFOX-1.32.1-i486.pet
I found it here.

2. There is no Xfe available in any of the repositories I have in use in my copy of Slacko-5.3.3-4g-scsi...
Cannot remember where I got the PET to install Xfe, but the above should do.

yes it's a nice interface. is the "warning XFE running as root" message something to be concerned about?

what are the implications?

Yes, I made a 1.32.5 pet for slacko, it's on this page in the thinslacko thread:

http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 8&start=15

The slacko version needs mesa installed, fatslacko doesn't need mesa (it's already installed)

No...
To configure Xfe so it no longer gives this warning:
Go to...
(a) "Edit->Preferences->Dialogs->Warnings->Warn if running as root"...
And untick the check-box.
And...
(b) While your at it....
Make all the configurations you fancy.
e.g. In "Themes" try KDE3.
In "General" tick all "Options", and in "Root mode" "Allow root mode".

xfe is great

maybe xfe doesn't do certain key things rox does
but it's a really great way to manage files.

Hi guys; What is the NLS version? I`ve seen that on a few packages.

Billtoo; Is it okay if I make a stand-alone SqApp package from your Xfe?
I already made the Fox-Toolkit, it has PathFinder that`s like Xfe.
But I think it is not as capable as Xfe, I`m not sure, do you know?

Fox Toolkit has a simple text editor, file browser, calculator, and screen capture.

I believe it includes provision for languages other than English.

Sylvander; Ahhhh! No Language Support! Don`t you love acronyms?

I was thinking No Library Support, as in no libs. included in the package.

Me gusta mucho XFE, It should be by default in any puppies in addition to Rox. See la petite video aqui :
