Puppy on a tablet?
Hello all !
Was just reading barry kaulers' blog and noticed this;
http://bkhome.org/blog/?viewDetailed=02808
I hadn't heard of the mele a1000 at all but a little bit of digging around revelaed it uses something calle the "allwinner a10" CPU (I'm guessing this is some sort of ARM chip?).
Thing is I've noticed that there are some tablets turning up on ebay now around UKP 80-100 approx which are using the same CPU, the allwinner a10.
I wonder does this mean puppy could be ported to one of these chinese allwinner-a10 tablets or are there lots of hardware (less the touchscreen) differences or are they all very similar using similar chips (e.g. video, sound etc)?

SoC
It's a system-on-chip so things will be mostly similar, with the exception of the touch screen part. The booting might differ, too, with the Mele more "hackable" (easily booted via SD card).
We won't know how different really until we get to play on it. _________________ Puppy user since Oct 2004. Want FreeOffice? Get the sfs (English only).
