Random personal photos slideshow screensaver

#1 Post by Pete22 »

My sister wanted a random slideshow screensaver like she had on windose.

npierce Said this setup worked in racy.

If you want to give it a try, install these three .pets:

http://distro.ibiblio.org/puppylinux/pe ... c-2.5b.pet
http://dotpups.de/dotpups/Games/SDL-1.2.9.pet
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... h&id=28533

In Racy, it is started from: *see below for Saluki instructions.

Menu -> Desktop -> Puppy Screensaver Setup

Choose "test screensaver". If the test works, you can then choose "start saver".

When it is running, to get back to your desktop press Esc or 'q'.

Here is Mu's post for the current version:

To run this in Saluki

Go to Control Panel - Desktop - Puppy Screensaver Setup.

Choose "test screensaver". If the test works for you, you can then choose "start saver".

When it is running, to get back to your desktop press Esc or 'q'.
It will show random images in your background folder.
- To have it include your own photos:

Add an absolute link to your images in your background folder:
usr/share/backgrounds

It works like a charm! :D
