How do I exit KDE to get pack to default PUPPY 1.07 desktop

#1 Post by computertech »

I recently copied the More_usr.sfs file to my /ROOT/USR/Homedirectory. The install went fine, but then when I tried to use it I could get into KDE which was my goal, but I could not get it to go to back to my default desktop which I am assuming is JWM . Additionally now when I reboot and try to reload Puppy, which I have the PUPPY001 file on my local harddrive and I increased to partition to 768 mb. I will not load anymore, I get an error message stating that KDE Config can;t be found. I can easily delete the PUPPY001 file and reload Puppy but if I do the same thing again, I want to be able to switch between both desktops with no problems.

Thanks in advance for your help.

please use correct notation (upper/lower case, names).
If you don't, it is almost impossible to track down errors ;)

Which usr_more.sfs did you use?
There are several versions including KDE around.
Each one has an additional .pup , that includes bugfixes or configurationfiles, that can't be included in usr_more.sfs.

To start JWM, exit X (hit CTRL-ALT-Backspace), then type
xwin jwm
