Any chance of getting this game for Puppy? Subject description: Kobo Deluxe |
|
I've played this (portable edition from portableapps.com) on Lucid 5.2.8-005 with Xorg_High under Wine 1.5:

It rocks! The download section says there's a Linux version for Debian and Gentoo.

On pup528, if you have SDL libraries installed, then, after installing kobodeluxe_0.5.1-5_i386.deb and kobodeluxe-data_0.5.1-5_all.deb, you will have kobo-deluxe in the menu, under Fun.
Unfortunately it won't work, until you:
| Code: | ln -s /usr/games/kobodl /usr/bin
ln -s /lib/libpng12.so.0.42.0 /usr/lib/libpng.so.3
|
then it works fine.
Edit 1: Shot myself in the foot! It works but game messages aren't showing for me...not sure why yet?
Edit 2: Just realised it's available via package manager...if ubuntu repositories are enabled. Still not displaying messages though.

He he that is why I prefer to keep using it under wine. If I knew how to compile, I'd compile a pet for slacko

For -=Quirky Linux - 1.40=- ===>
http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/4/idpl/16761849/dir/fedora_11/com/KoboDeluxe-0.5.1-5.fc11.i586.rpm.html
With -=NVidia=- proprietary drivers this game works.
