zoo tycoon not working??

Zoo Tycoon is not working in wine. I have installed it successfully and even checked winecfg to make sure the CD-ROM path is selected.
The problem is that when I go into program files and select game.exe the splash screen pops up. I click play and "zoo tycoon is launching" shows up for a second but nothing happens afterwards. I installed the Direct X on the disk and it said it installed successfully. However I might install a newer version anyway to see if that's the problem. If anyone has suggestions they would be helpful. If you need anything else posted about my computer just let me know. I'm running puppy 5.2.8. Very Happy

I don't mean to double post, but I have a new problem. I upgraded to puppy 5.3.3 and now when i try to install zoo tycoon "X" fails and I get redirected to a prompt. I just wan't to get zoo tycoon working. Could someone help?
