Compatibility between "Regular Puppy" and Grafpup

#1 Post by Kiran »

Hi all,

I haven't been able to find a satisfactory way of getting OOo2 onto my Puppy. While looking I found Grafpup. However at the moment I am quite satisfied with "regular Puppy."

Grafpup did, however, have some interesting downloads. It seems they have OOo2 and even Blender3D and some other killerapps available as "Squash filesystems."

Their explanation of its usage is this:
Grafpup website wrote: This is a squash filesystem containing the full OpenOffice2.0 office suite. To use it, just place usr_more.sfs in /mnt/home (assuming you're running the live cd) and reboot. Grafpup will automatically mount the file every time you boot and merge it seamlessly into the filesystem.
Will this work with "regular Puppy?"

Also I have Puppy installed on a FAT partition next to Windows, not as a live-cd.

Any tips welcome.
Thanks,
KJ
