How to change JWM taskbar theme? |
|
Is there a way to change my JWM Taskbar by going to Root/Jwm/Themes and copying the 2 taskbar pictures, then going on Gimp and editing, and then place them back in the directory root/jwm/themes with the same names. restart JWM and they are changed to the edited version i made.

Hi connorfranciswillcocks,
The pictures are only for a visual representation of a chosen theme in the JWM theme switching GUI, they do not control a theme look - To make changes to themes you will need to find the two corresponding theme files some-theme-colors and some-theme-jwmrc in /root/.jwm/themes/ and make your changes by editing those files in a text editor.
Im not 100% sure as i don't use JWM (prefer Openbox, there is a GUI theme maker for that SimpleBox ) but I think forum member Trio made a GUI theme maker and theme editor for JWM?

Connor : seems you have to alter the config files next to the .png s .
These png are used for the [command:] jwmconfig [/command] gui .

Thanks Karl And Stu, Found a package which allows you to change the JWM Theme, however its only for the colors and text which is not what i want, So Decided to just change back to Icewm Thanks Connor.
