pcmcia/cardbus ...wifi... on toshiba satellite pro 480CDT
This is an ancient P1 233 w/ 64MB RAM. puppy works *great* on it...sound and everything right at boot...except for the PCMCIA ports. They will not detect my wifi (or any) card.
I know the card and the ports function under win98se on this machine.
Also, puppy will not boot unless I set the BIOS to cardbus 16bit mode. If I put it in PCMCIA mode puppy will hang about midway through the boot.
I'm pretty sure the cardbus chip is a Toshiba ToPIC97, if that helps any.
Once I can get the machine to recognize the card, I think (hope) I can get the driver installed. The card is a Belkin F5D7010 w/ Ralink RT2500 chip, which apparently has a native GPL'd driver. (RT2500-Linux-STA-18.104.22.168.tar.gz)
If anyone can help getting this machine to see my card that would really complete my Puppy install!
