New (to me) laptop and I decided to upgrade from Slacko 6.3.2 to Slacko64 6.3.2. Looks great, but no flash.
GetFlash script can't find the server.
So, I use the method published a number of other places (download .tar.gz file from Adobe website, unzip, then replace libflashplayer.so in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins with the new unzipped libflashplayer.so). Hmm, this doesn't work. Looked around a bit. There's nothing in the /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins folder. Seems odd. Now the /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins looks more interesting, Move the libflashplayer.so file there and SUCCESS!
Apologies if this is handled in a more elegant fashion.

Hi, larkl.
Yes, with Tahr64, /usr/lib64 is symlinked into /usr/lib; anything placed in one automatically appears in the other.
With Slacko64, on the other hand, this sym-link doesn't exist.....so 64-bit libs must be placed in the /usr/lib64 directory, in order to be discovered.
Slight variations, that's all. PhilB and Micko have different ways of building their Pups, depending on the base distro.
Mike.
