Are you saying pcmanfm was capable of providing the desktop icons, but you chose to use idesk for that instead?
Do you know a good gtkdialog program? Please post a link here

pcmanfm can manage desktop, but its will be big, so i remove it, remove rox and using pcmanfm just for file manager and idesk for desktop ^_^

its pointless if still using rox and idesk.

I just remembered about SpaceFM. SpaceFM is based on pcmanfm but it has the ability to manage the desktop, including wallpaper and icons; I think.

I don't know if it's a lighter weight alternative but it's an alternative.

Pcmanfm has this ability now. That's why I was asking if it didn't have it back when pri made his puplet.

Yes, and it is a "Desktop is a folder" like Windows (~/Desktop).
