Error booting from flash USB memory: Sorry, cannot start X

#1 Post by mrpink_1013 »

I am a newbie and I am trying to load Puppy from a USB memory stick. It starts to load and I get a couple of messages about usr_cram.fs, which I think I understand because I am not running from a hard drive. I am able to hit enter and continue. But then I get the following error: Sorry, cannot start X. File /usr/x116r6/bin/x missing. If X is supposed to be installed, probably Puppy was unable to mount usr_cram.fs on /usr

I cannot get past this point.

We don't have enough details.
Did you use the USB install Wizard in Puppy?
