#1 Post by Abdo Alrhman Aiman »

a step by step guide on how to add a new keyboard layout (how to make the keyboard type in another language):

1- download http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... h&id=40777 then double click to install

2- click puppy linux menu (from the bottom bar)
3- choose "setup" >> "keyboard/mouse wizerd"
4- choose "advanced configuration" (a massage will appear, click "ok")
5- choose "countries layouts"
6- the window will till you the currently used layouts, then will offer a list of layouts in case you want to add any, if you do, please choose the desired one then click "ok" to close the window
7- go to "options" tap
8- choose "groub shift/caps lock behavior"
9- highlight the keys that you wanna use to toggle between layouts (alt + shift is commonly used, and can be found if you scroll down. after all that, click "ok"
10- if you wanna see a flag the indicates the current layout, go to "preferences" tap and click "show" button.
11- click "apply" to apply all of your actions
12- click "restart X"

hope this helps,
peace.
