PHATSlacko Puppy 5.5.02

I get the error:
Unable to connect
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.google.com.au.

The error comes up almost instantly compared to the slow page loading I normally get on a 512k broadband. When I click retry a couple of times the page eventually loads.

My system has no problems under WinXP SP3.

I have tried Slacko and PHATSlacko on two different PCs with same problem.

II think it is a network configuration thing. Maybe MTU between modem and wireless VOIP router to which i am connected on ethernet (Modem / Router: Netcomm NB5 / Linksys WRTP54G).

No idea really but Puppy is not usable. Any advice?
