I tried Puppy2alpha, kernel 2.6.16.7 according to /proc/version

Unfortunately, the centrino speedstep is not implemented properly:
the processor runs at the highest clock all the time

For comparison, there is no problem here under Ubuntu with kernel 2.6.15.
