Hi
I've updated the wiki front page, to reflect name change-
http://puppylinux.org/wikka/HomePage
does ov 5.3.0 supersede previous versions, also is this a beta?

Your wiki is linked to the 5.2.60 not to the 5.3.0 thread.
ov-precies 5.3.0 does not supersede the other versions just wanted to throw out there builds with different kernels;
2 for pae and 1 for non-pae
the 3.2.27 kernel in 5.3.0 is more up to date than the one in 5.2.60
5.2.60 was perfect
I am very satisfied with 5.2.60. I can work with wifi. Everything is working well even the old "grisbi' from puppy 2 repository to make my money accounts. Yes, sometimes, we have real work to do. A new Abiword which can read a lot of things : very well. I shall try Ov-precise later. I am still discovering 5.2.60.
Pets added : pupsave config 2.2.2 and Xvidcap 1.1.7 (russian because the only one which record voice well). I now add these 2 pets everywhere.
Dont progress too much : Slacko was very safe for me, but i have problems with the last version : i cant shutdown. Sometimes the last one is not the best.

Hello, all you old and new yellers out there , and puppyists generally!
I've compiled a new version of the pek window manager (aka pekwm) especially for oy-precise 5.3.0. You can download it from here : http://limelinx.com/fef41
A slightly more formal introduction of it can be found on p. 3 of this thread: http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... 026#651026
Don't forget to also pick up one of the three menu creation utilities for pekwm, introduced on the same thread. (Doesn't matter which, they all do the job.) Or you'll be stuck with the very tedious task of populating the default menu manually.
Enjoy!

Hello Everyone,
I have lost everything for all three of the Precise puppy's I have done.
Had to reformat my hdd; Puppy could not access the 2nd partition anymore. Some how it got corrupted.
The laptop I have know and OV-Preices does not get along well with each other, So I will not be able to keep up with the repo-upup or do anymore on precise.
I will however keep all three ov-precise puppies available as they are now. so they will still be downloadable and use what is in the upup repo.
