laptop trackpad not working

Subject description: trackpad select on my dell inspiron n4110 not working with slacko puppy 5.3		  
EmbarassedI recently installed slacko puppy on adrive on my dell inspiron n 4110 lappy alongside 3 operating systems..Its awesome with inuilt audio,video,lan,wifi,graphic card drivers and codecs...but........
I couldnot select or click anything with my trackpad...I can do this by clicking my left/right mouse buttons below the trackpad...I can even move my pointer with my fingers on desktop from trackpad..but i could not tap on it to select anything...this is a major bug...plz correct this!every tie i should press my left mouse button and its annoying Sad
