How do I get mplayer video playback with NV instead of X11?

#1 Post by hoven »

With older puppy versions I can play videos in full screen and with XV video output driver. Could someone please explain why with newer puppy versions I can only use X11 and full screen doesn't work? Are things going backwards or am I doing something wrong?

hi hoven,

installing your video drivers should fix this.

however if you want to use xv in mplayer, open the hidden folder /root/.mplayer/config and change the 'vo=' line... to 'vo=xv'
