How to burn MKV file to DVD so it plays in PS2? (Solved)

#1 Post by TheYoungOne »

Hello guys.

Does anybody know of an easy way to do this so the DVD can play on a DVD player or PS2. PBurn gives me a message saying "invalid file format" or something along those lines when i try to use it.
I'm running Slacko 5.3.3
P.S i did have a look around but couldn't find anything conclusive.

Cheers.

I think Pburn will support *.mkv files if we just open support of the format.
I have added mkv-support in the attached codeline. It is line 19 in /usr/local/pburn/pburn. Please replace code, test, and report back.

Code: Select all

export VIDEO_FORMATS="\.asf$|\.avi$|\.flv$|\.mov$|\.m4v$|\.mkv$|\.mp4$|\.mpeg$|\.mpg$|\.vob$|\.wmv$"

Thank you
Sigmund

Perfect worked like a charm. I'm just burning it now so will let you know once i test the DVD how it is.
For me it was line 14. Not that it makes much difference just thought I'd say.

Thanks Sigmund :)
