How to install Flash Player in Slacko SeaMonkey?*Solved* |
|
Upon starting SeaMonkey I receive the option to download Flash Player, however, even though the network is up and connected to the internet I receive the message "Unable to connect to the internet, perhaps your connection is down" or something like that.
Internet is working and am browsing from the Laptop I'm attempting to install Flash onto, the machine has a full install to the HDD and is solely booting Slacko.
Thanks.
J

Hello,
I recommend downloading and installing the getflash 1.2 pet. Detail here-
http://puppylinux.org/wikka/getflash
Once installed go to
PuppyMenu > Internet > GetFlash Install Flash
this program will guide you though installation

Fixed, I am not sure if I can give full details, but the link did not work for me at first, I'm not sure if it was because I had made Chrome my default browser and was using it to open the link and download the file, but I reverted back to using Seamonkey, same error when package installed sadly, did a search for the problem, found a similar link with the same look but a different download link, this worked and both browsers now have flash support.
