linux driver for Network Everywhere NC100 Fast Ethernet

#1 Post by nubc »

Puppy 2.14x does not see this Network Everywhere NC100 Fast Ethernet card. What is the alternative linux driver for this card? Oops, 2.14x doesn't see a Linksys card either. And I don't see Linksys in Network modules. Huh?

EDIT: Well, I'm back using Wary 511 as a live CD, so I guess those missing network drivers are a shortcoming of 2.14x.

Thanks. James. I was just about to comment how similar those two cards are, and as indicated above, the Network Everywhere card is actually Linksys. I'll have to check this 2.14x disk for version. Must be an earlier version. What command will give me Puppy 2.14x version?

EDIT: I can't explain it. Puppy 2.14x now sees the Linksys card exactly as you (James) demonstrate above. This started because there were no lights on the onboard NIC, so maybe that will come back to life as well. BTW, the pci NIC cards always had lights, even when 2.14x wouldn't see them.
