Hi,

I installed puppy slacko 5.3.3 + 5.2.8 lupu several times on hd of an older PC (SATA/IDE install, full install).
Set 1 primary partition with ext3.
Everytime I boot I'm getting an error message: "Error 22". What do I do wrong?

Figured out that /boot folder is missing.
And the install routine doesn't prompt for grub installation - should it?! Don't know...

GRUB Error 22 is "missing partition".

Do you have Puppy installed correctly now? If not, try the auto-installer here.

I used the guided install routine from that command center. Didn't expect anything to go wrong.

I'm now at home and I will practice inside virtualbox. Must have overseen something.
Might also give your script a shot if I fail again.

Got it! Lack of knowledge and patience was the mistake. 8)
Didn't wait long enough to finish the installation completely. Restarted the computer too early.
And I wasn't aware of an extra grub install menu entry either. Thought it's part of the installation process.

Anyway thank you for your help!

Congratulations! :) Wish I had a nickel for every time I was impatient waiting for a procedure to finish.
