BFN.
One of the all time best is Gray's Precise NOP 5.4.3, which I have adapted and used exclusively since it appeared.

And of course it's got Xfce built in.
I've seen nothing better for my purposes.

Thanks, Henry.

Good to know all is not lost...

Incidentally, the devx for 5.4.3 can be found in the Internet Archive even if
the puppy itself is not:
https://archive.org/download/Puppy_Linu ... _5.4.3.sfs

BFN.

The original Puppy Precise 5.4.3 has been removed from both the ibilio
and nluug repositories......

Why originals and even copies of good Puppies get scrapped, I will never
understand...

Because Ibiblio (and the mirrors) only provide a limited amount of space...... when the repo is full something has to go.

I have all official Puppy iso releases archived (from 4.0 onward) so copies do exist.Don't think I missed any..... :lol:

Thanks, ally!
Some of Gray's stuff, including Precise-Nop is at
http://downloads.tuxfamily.org/nop/
Over the years I tried/used all the Nops, there were half a dozen or so. I replaced Quirkey-Nop with Precise a couple of years ago. What I have now hardly resembles Precise-Nop, being built on a whole series of upgrades, and almost daily fiddling and polishing. Many things have gone in and out, but the Uninstall puppy packages list in the PPM still shows 60 added programs. It is all very tidy, fast, and clean.

@ally:
Indeed, thanks, ally!

Just to clarify ->
The PuppyPrecise 5.4.3 that you have listed there is BK's "out-of-factory"
one, yes? Not the "Can Bike" edition?

I ask because the Mg count is similar.
Thanks in advance.

not familiar with the 'can bike'?

it will be BKs own though copied from the ibiblio repo, all the pets should be there too

precise-5.4.3-barebones-0.2.iso downloading from https://archive.org/details/Puppy_Linux_Precise.
Just to see what barebones mean.
In fact i will use it to mount other main SFS (older puppies)
I get informed of bugs, to avoid loose time.
Precise 5.4.3 runs some french puplets.

Pelo

mhWaveedit has no specific topic

mhWaveeditpet version 12
mhWaveedit has no specific topic, but available on all puppies.
The pet should be located at least in multimedia section, not in bugs lost in Precise Puppy 5.4.3 forum.
