I've always wanted a puppy that could use all of my RAM so I've downloaded Lighthouse64 Mariner and It's very pretty.
In order to give it a trial I wanted to use thunderbird so I followed my usual pattern and pasted the contents of my existing thunderbird default folder into the new one. This has always worked previously and I've had no problems moving from 32bit to 64bit (with Debian based OSs). Lighthouse64 has a version of thunderbird called Lanikai and when launching it I get an alert "Could not initialize the application's security component. The most likely cause is problems with files in your application's profile directory. ...."
Thunderbird launches with all the mail boxes showing but all I get is a continuous pinwheel if I try to get any messages. This isn't a great problem because I can just use Lupu which is installed on the same PC but it's sad that I can't use Lighthouse because of one problem.
Has anyone out there any experience of this?
