eth0 setting doesn't survive reboot

#1 Post by splot »

I set up eth0 using Nework Wizard with static address and it works fine. I cant use dynamic address.
The setting doesn't survive a reboot.

What am I doing wrong?

Lucid 528 and Slacko 531.

Thanks.

I'm a little fuzzy -- but there was a thread some time back about this.

The problem is that your .rc file is getting copied-over from a master file. You need to modify the master file, so that's the one doing the copying-over...

I'll take a look when I get home and back on my Puppy machine.

I was having this same problem on my Lupu 528 install on my tinker box but it seemed to solve itself and work properly again after 2 or 3 reboots....I didn't make any changes, so not sure what happened...?
