dual boot is deaf

#1 Post by deliberatus »

I used the executable to install 2.5.0.005; it boots from the dual boot menu fine, loads up, there's the desktop. It refuses to register the wireless mouse and keyboard. Wow. This is a hp pavilion, 2 months old, big black and powerful, and it's inside my desk where it's hard as all get out to get to the model number sticker lives, but this is windows 7 when it thinks it's a windows machine.

HAVING NO KEYBOARD OR MOUSE INPUT TENDS TO MAKE IT AWKWARD TO CORRECT THIS.

My best guess is:
1. plug in an old mouse and keyboard;
2. configure it to find and mount the dang things.
Advice on doing this is sought. :?:

Please explain. What Puppy version is this?

How did you initially boot? Off a CD? From a flash drive?

Did your mouse and keyboard work then?

How did you install Puppy?
