how2 version upgrade 2fs?

Subject description: lupu 528005 > precize 5.4.1		  
I have just finished a good looking 2fs for my lupu 528005. Now I would like to do a version upgrade to the new precize 541. Do I need to start all over again or can I instruct the 541 to somehow read the "old" 2fs?
