Xwin fails after shutdown can I repair? [workaround]

#1 Post by nooby »

Edit I did a work around. Created a new Dir
copied over the puppy files except the save file
started all over and moved the .mozilla dir over to
the sda2 and then did a relative link to the new one
after I had renamed the new dir to original something.

It allowed me to keep the bookmarks and the passwords
of the FF17 So I am using a new instead of hoping for to repair.

But should it not be easy to be a Linux Geek and use CLI
and just delete some .conf file in X11?

old text

After a dirty shutdown of Lupu 528-005
the xwin fail to start and xorgwizard fail to
get it going too.

typically I have not done a copy of the savefile I know my bad.

I am now in another older lupu and would that allow me to
open up the savefile of the newest lupu and edit something
that allow it to start or repair.

I have already the pfix=fsck in menu.lst

I can start up and the CLI is working so I can go to

etc/X11 and do things with xorg.conf
if I only knew what one can do to start all over.
Now it seems locked .
I use Google Search on Puppy Forum
not an ideal solution though
