How do I change cursor from black to white?

#1 Post by april »

I want to change my cursor - pretty simple huh?

Definitely not in Puppy Precise 5.7.11

Go to Desktop ->pcur
Told to d/l themes
Find themes D/L with dependancies about 10 files ??
restart x
pcur
same stuff again diddn't see them
reboot
same stuff

I just want to change the colour of my cursor from black to white .

I think you got the wrong themes.
Should only need to download and install one theme package.

In the Puppy Package Manager (PPM)
Search for cursor_themes-1-1 in the puppy-noarch repository.
Download and install.
Now Pcur should open with a list of cursors to select.

Or download and install the pet package from the puppy repository.

The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
When I was a kid I wanted to be older.... This is not what I expected
YaPI(any iso installer)

Your downloaded cursor theme should just be a directory (containing the images in a sub-directory). Place it in the hidden /root/.icons directory and make a symlink named "default" pointing to it. Restart X.
Here you can see the "crystalgold" theme which has a yellow cursor.
