Color of last 4 lines of splash screen boot prompt? Subject description: How to change the color?
Which of the files, vmlinuz or initrd or the puplet sfs displays the boot: prompt and sets the color of the last 4 lines of the slash screen? How do I change the color in that program i.e. access to the code. I am not worried about the hex codes?
I can't tell what to do, to change the colors. All I can say, is: I've changed the boot splash (logo.16) several times and it changes the color each and every time - related to the color of image which is used for the boot splash. The color seems to be taken from the 16 color palette (dynamically to the background to get a good result for contrast - whatever "good" could mean in that case )

splash screen boot prompt and color of last 4 lines
I hadn't thought of it but I do believe you are right about the lines getting their color from the palette. Like you I have changed several splash screens and because of the dynamism wrongfully assumed it was done by each puplet. Hence my question. What raised the issue was that my latest graphic consists of about 14 dark blues which makes the 4 lines essentially dark blue based on your theory. The trouble is that the boot; prompt and the text showing the loading of vmlinuz are in black..
Thanks for your insight. No more dark splash screens for me.
