gvfsd-metadata 100% cpu use

#1 Post by Marv »

Has anybody (sucessfully) wrestled with the 100% cpu use occasionally shown by gvfsd-metadata. I'm currently running 'lina-005 and when the fan notifys me just kill the process or delete the directory in /root/.local/... However I build up systems for other folks and this becomes an issue using any base new enough to use gvfs. 'lina uses the most recent release and searching, I find no real fix, just the kill/delete. Ok for us but a real user issue. Any thoughts?
Pups currently in kennel :D Older LxPupSc and X-slacko-4.4 for my users; LxPupSc, LxPupSc64 and upupEF for me. All good pups indeed, and all running savefiles for look'n'feel only. Browsers, etc. solely from SFS.
