Subject description: I go through install and nothing boots once I remove the flash drive.

I tried installing via flash drive. When I am done it won't boot puppy from the ssd. I didn't know why it wasn't working so I followed this tutorial:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJtYhl-7SqI

I did everything he did. (except for the allocating files part because I was installing from a flash drive and not an ssd.

tldr;
I am trying to install puppy to a netbook via flash drive (I don't have a disc drive). It is not working. Thanks.

Specifically what happens when you boot the computer?
Need specific details.
You do what?
You see what?

Did you install a boot loader?
What version of Puppy?

Did you install a boot loader?
You need that to boot the Puppy install.
If you want help, you need to answer all questions asked.
The answers to any question are clues as to what you did or did not do and what could be the problem.

We only know what you tell us!

Post the contents of the Grub menu.lst file.

I assume Puppy works OK running from the USB flash drive?
Running Puppy from the flash drive:
There is another boot loader program that you can load by running menu->System-> Grub4dos bootloader config
It seems to work better than Grub.

Thanks for your help Smile. I used the other Grub as you recommended and made sure I added a boot flag. It booted up and everything is working flawlessly.

Please add [SOLVED] to the end of your thread title. (You can edit that from the first post.) That way everyone knows that your problem was fixed.
