Slacko 5.3.x .pets can safely be used in PuppEX 5.3.3.2 (2012) - right? ...Trying to find the "right" puppy configuration...

Yes you can. PuppEX is based on Slacko (it's a very good Pup btw, I use it myself).
Gigabyte M68MT-52P motherboard, AMD Athlon II X4 630, 5.8 GB of DDR3 RAM and a 250 GB Hitachi hard drive running Ubuntu 16.04.6, MX-19.2, Peppermint 10, PCLinuxOS 20.02, LXLE 18.04.3, Pardus 19.2, exGENT 200119, Bionic Pup 8.0 and Xenial CE 7.5 XL.

Please pardon the next question (I find puppy's labeling system a little confusing) ...this would be the correct repo for PuppEX slacko - ftp://distro.ibiblio.org/puppylinux/pet ... s-slacko14/
