installed this LHMP-8.0-5.3.4-5.3.10.pet into percise 5.6.1 and want to run it as localhost

A couple of problems

this is error log output when I try and start MariaDB

130630 10:25:46 mysqld_safe Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /usr/local/var
130630 10:25:46 [Warning] option 'thread_stack': unsigned value 65536 adjusted to 131072
130630 10:25:46 [ERROR] Fatal error: Can't change to run as user 'nobody' ; Please check that the user exists!

130630 10:25:46 [ERROR] Aborting

130630 10:25:46 [Note] /usr/local/libexec/mysqld: Shutdown complete

130630 10:25:46 mysqld_safe mysqld from pid file /usr/local/var/mysql.pid ended

also when I try and access phpmyadmin i get this error

#2002 - The server is not responding (or the local MySQL server's socket is not correctly configured)

It seems there should be some tables in /usr/local/var there is a mysql folder but no tables in side!!!

Can anyone assist please would be appreciated

Thanks

Hello, mike5061.

I cannot help you directly, since I know next to nothing about mysqlite. However, you may want to take a look at what e_mattis did to integrate a LAMPP implementation into his Small Business Pup. It has a mysqlite that works quite well.

Please see http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... ost#691223. The post is in French, but the links are language-neutral. :) Also, Small Business Pup is an Anglophone Puppy.

Best regards.
