Are you booting from the GRUB bootloader? If so, edit your menu.lst file and add "pfix=nox" to the end of the kernel line. For example

Code: Select all

kernel /testing/vmlinuz pmedia=atahd pdev1=sda2 psubdir=testing pfix=nox
