How to make Google Search use webcam microphone?

I use a PCI Creative Labs Soundblaster card for my speaker sound.

I use a MIcrosoft LifeCam VX2000 USB Webcam for my microphone.

Puppy configures the Soundblaster card properly and it works with the speakers fine.

In Skype I am able to configure the Micrsoft LifeCam microphone properly and it works fine also.

However the Google Search interface does not see the Microphone.

any suggestions to make it work in that setting as well?

Which browser are you using?

Does mic work in other programs such as mhWaveEdit or Audacity?

Yes the sound plays from MhWaveEdit,

I use Google Chrome 19.0.1084.52

thanks for your interest.

I told AlsaMixer to select the Microsoft WebCam VX2000 but it didn't display any of the usual options.

according to next web some voice features were added in version 25 of Chrome/Chromium
http://thenextweb.com/google/2013/01/14 ... -installs/

so you might have to upgrade

Chromium 25 is available as a PET package here-

Chromium 25 installed fine, but the microphone was not identified.

I tried a Chromium 27 pet that I found. I was getting closer it said that it could not hear my microphone, but didn't say that it was not functional.

I am not going to try a google chrome 24 pet that I found.
