Welcome...

As linux comes in many variants, there are many solutions.

Even Puppy Linux comes in many variants with various solutions for installing flash.

I suggest you pick a version of Linux to focus on, guessing that will be Puppy Linux and then if Lucid, Slacko og Precise.. We use Lucid as a example here..

Google: Puppy Linux Lucid install flashplayer

The solutions will then be presented by google and you should be able to figure it out from there.

As for Java, its back to the same... So you need to give information about what linux you like to use. If its Ubuntu, the question belongs in Ubuntu forums.

Your question is as vague as "I need new wheels for my thing that takes me from A to B. What dimensions should i get?"

You agree its hard to answer that right?
