How to startup with Windows wireless driver installed?

#1 Post by artsown »

On permasu's Precise 3.7.2 the rt2500pci diver fails so I use a ndiswrapper pet he
supplied (it isn't in this pup) and my Windows driver.

On each startup, I select SNS which gives me a "Windows" option that I use to
install the driver. I then use Frisbee to connect since it's the only tool that does make
a connection for some reason.

How can I arrange to have puppy install the driver and then invoke Frisbee
automatically at startup?

Solved! I put the line:
modprobe ndiswrapper
in the file /etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit
towards the end but right before the lines regarding wireless.

Frisbee now connects automatically at startup.
