Archpup have original init from standard Puppy so LOADING savefile from DVD will probably
work, but rc.shutdown is edited and simplified, to save session on reboot only if PUPMODE is equal 12 or 13 (hard disk and USB flash).
I thought no one will need anything more than that.

@stifiling: I can't work on 64-bit version, because no way to test the iso and obviously I have zero experience with 64-bit systems.
It is probably very similar to working with i686 only that lib folder is renamed to /usr/lib64.

i would have thought so too. i tried using a regular init script and get nothing but 'kernel panic'. then i compared the differences between fatdog64's init, and a regular puppy's init....and they're 'completely' different.

/usr/lib64 is a symlink to /usr/lib....so looking at it from an overall....bird's eye view, it should work, but it doesn't.

they're similar in a lot of ways, but still different enough to not be able to easily (or even hardly) follow along and make the necessary adjustments to get adrv working.

i'm getting closer though, so we'll see.

I'm not sure that yaf-splash was only reason for him to quit, it's not logical - so there must have been something else.
Who knows maybe he will return once, but if he doesn't, it's not big problem... world is still spinning around as you see.
Tell him, that his name will be mentioned in Distrowatch - and he'll be right back. Just kidding. Trying to lighten up the drama surrounding this venture. Hurt feelings, ruffled feathers, toys being thrown out of the cot. Sudden escapes and miraculous reunions. Very unusual for a Puppy project.

New forum at http://archpup.freeforums.org/ is functional, but currently with only two users - darkcity and me,
so if you like Archpup please register, now I feel like talking to myself :P

Second thing I want to mention: thunor the developer of Gtkdialog is working on support for GTK3, when it is finished I will
compile it and include in next version.

New audio player will be audacious, version 3.4 alpha which allows to dock plugins (lyrics for example) into Gtk interface.
