Building a custom quirky image

#1 Post by bitterlimey »

Hi, I'm new to this forum but I've been using Puppy Linux for a while. Recently, I tried Quirky 5.4.91 and it works well. I'd like to know what is the easiest way to build a custom kernel.qky image where the only changes are to install a modified kernel. In particular, for my needs I want a kernel that works on a uniprocessor with IO APIC capabilities.

I understand that woof is designed to build new distributions but all I want to do is change the kernel, create a new ramdisk and integrate the original filesystem image into a single file.

Thanks.
