I've got Puppy 2 working OK (well almost - still no sound). If I boot with the default acpi=on the system will not load my wireless ethernet and xorg fails.
I've tried modifying isolinux.cfg to include acpi=off just after "append". I've also tried modifying the file by leaving out lines and shifting "acpi=off" to various locations. No matter what I do, if I don't manually type in "puppy acpi=off" at the boot menu my system never gets past xorg.
Where can I modify a file to make "acpi=off" the default?
Thanks,
thekaz
How do I force Puppy 2 Live CD to default boot acpi=off?
Remastering and changing the isolinux.cfg
Actually I haven't tried something that may work. Burn it without clossing the session and then just burn the modified isolinux.cfg on top of it.
I'll try it when I get home.

Hey thekaz,
You can not deleat post but if you go to your first post edit the subject line and add "solved" after it that will do the trick I was told that the forum were not just a place to interact with other puppy people but also as an infomation resource.
Glad you fixed your problem.

I'm just a passing thought in this world
Great idea, rarsa, but it didn't work. Looking on the CD afterwards, the new file has replaced the original, but when Puppy boots it seems to ignore the saved session when reading the boot options. 'Xproc' -> 'General' -> 'Boot cmd line' still shows the original options.rarsa wrote:Remastering and changing the isolinux.cfg
