Replacing a Cd problem puppy2
(This may not be a bug, moderator feel free to move this)

I found out after replacing a drive. It uses hdd and not hdc.
How do I tell puppy that the original drive is no longer needed and make it use hdc. I found this out using a test computer. The computer I am using is going to need a cd replacement soon.

I would suspect that the new cd drive is set as slave rather than master or that it is on a different connector on the cable. Linux names hardware according to where it is connected unlike windows which uses the next available name.
