What have you tried so far ?

I am only using the vesa driver atm which has no option to rotate. Reading
Code:
man nv

for the nvidia driver that has some rotation options for /etc/X11/xorg.conf file :

Quote:
Option "Rotate" "CW"

Option "Rotate" "CCW"
Rotate the display clockwise or counterclockwise. This mode is
unaccelerated. Default: no rotation.

Note: The Resize and Rotate extension will be disabled if the
Rotate "CW" or Rotate "CCW" options are used.

Option "Rotate" "RandR"
Enable rotation of the screen using the Resize and Rotate exten‐
sion. This mode is unaccelerated. Default: no rotation sup‐
port.

The Puppy xwin script is made to be used for changing Pcs , so rewrites easily your xorg.conf .

google brought me here : http://crunchbanglinux.org/wiki/howto/rotate_the_pc_screen
