spup vs. upup

#1 Post by BLaZuRE »

I'm new to Puppy Linux and am going to install it as a bootable partition on my flash drive. I've been looking at spup or upup. I've worked with Ubuntu before, but haven't used Slackware yet. Is it smart to start with spup? I've been going back and forth. The thing that's making me lean towards spup is the desktop background :).

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum!

It doesn't matter, because they are just built on the binaries of those distros (maybe I didn't express this in technically correct language), they don't function exactly like Ubuntu or Slackware, they function like Puppy Linux with a certain amount of package compatibility with those distros.

hey blazure

put both on, it's very easy to do, and very easy to un-do. try and see which you prefer.
