How to stop Seamonkey's download manager from pausing?

#1 Post by proebler »

How can I stop Seamonkey’s download manager from pausing?

When I download a large iso file and leave the computer unattended, the download manager goes into the paused state at intervals.
I find this a bit of a nuisance.

I suspect, that it happens at the same time when the screen goes to sleep [the computer itself never goes in to sleep mode]

Seamonkey 2.16
on Slacko_5.3.1

thanks

I do not have a solution for seamonkey.

Code: Select all

wget -c <URL>
is best for large files.
You can paste URL from browser window.
That is how I always download larges files.

Thanks for the tip to use wget.
I will use it for large files from now on.

Also I found this helpful and complementary:

It is easier to read than the 1552 lines of man wget :)
